I don't know you but am proud of you. Unbeknownst to your parents, they raised a wonderful human being. I'm a believer that we are chosen to become parents to teach our children right from wrong thus becoming exemplary citizens of the world - this includes being accepting and loving towards one another regardless of race, orientation, religion, or any other difference. Once they become adults, they are free to move along and create their own lives. I'm happy if my children are happy and that's the most important thing for me. However, many parents don't believe this and expect their children to comply with their demands for the rest of their lives. It'll be hard, but then again, nothing comes easy.
