With all due respect to those who do, this is one of the things why I don’t believe in the Bible. I believe in a Higher Power (Infinite Spirit, Lord, God, Shiva, etc) but don’t believe in the Bible. Such a loving God would never bestow such atrocities among anyone. And that’s only one of the contradictions in the Bible.
